Artificial Grass Liquidators and Tujunga Little League will be celebrating the grand re-opening of the league’s baseball field on Wednesday, December 10th at 3:00 p.m. The Tujunga Littel League field is located at 11950 Big Tujunga Canyon Road, San Fernando, CA 91040
This comes with much excitement as the kids will “get their turf back” and get back to playing baseball! The leagues artificial turf was stolen in November and the kids have had no where to play baseball all this time. This will all change tomorrow. The replacement turf will be installed and ready to play on!
The re-opening of the field will be commemorated with the help of a Los Angeles Dodger, Dee Gordon, who will be there to throw out the first pitch!

On November 12, 2014 it was reported that thieves stole artificial grass from the Tujunga Little League’s tee ball field. This field was specifically for the younger baseball players whose ages range from four to six years old. The kids are now forced to play on gravel. This makes it more dangerous for the kids because of how the ball bounces differently on gravel than grass.
It is very likely that the artificial grass will not be returned and that the culprits will not be found due to the lack of any kind of surveillance cameras. It is very unlikely that the little league will be able to raise the money to replace the turf. The value of the artificial grass is as much as the league generates in one year through baseball registration.
Artificial Grass Liquidators, a California based company, has come forward to help remedy this situation. AGL will be donating replacement turf, installation, and one year of maintenance and disinfecting services. Tujunga Little League will be getting the turf on their baseball field replaced on December 2nd and 3rd.

On December 3rd, 2014, hundreds of young, aspiring athletes from the Tujunga Little League will get to “play ball” again, thanks in large part to the donation and installation of a new artificial turf T-Ball field by Artificial Grass Liquidators, a Southern California based artificial turf retail chain.
The artificial turf field on Big Tujunga Canyon Road, was stolen overnight on Saturday November 8. Sunday morning as parents and their young ball players went to the field to start practicing, they were greeted with nothing but gravel, dirt and what was left of the turf’s infill. Thieves had torn up and removed the field within hours. Police are still investigating the incident. For the young children that regularly use this facility, it is quite a blow not only to their athletic aspirations but also the faith they have in others. “Ridiculously devastating. It really was. It’s sad because the kids look forward to this and it’s not available to them now,” said Chantel Gray,Treasurer of the Tujunga Little League. The artificial turf field was valued at $2000 to $3000 not including installation. The Tujunga Little League, a non-profit organization, does not have the funds to provide a new, safe playing surface for the kids, many of whom are only 5-6 years of age.
Enter Dillon Georgian and Bob DeLozier, owners of Artificial Grass Liquidators. They heard of the incident and felt immediately compelled to take action. “This is such a sad story. God has put it in our hearts to help these kids. Artificial Grass Liquidators has stepped up to the plate and will replace and install a synthetic turf field for them. My team and I are so excited to help these kids.” said Georgian.
On December 2nd and 3rd, they will provide and install a new T-Ball field, donating over 4000 square feet of artificial turf. Sports Turf Rejuvenation and Restoration, an associated trade partner, will also provide maintenance and disinfecting services for free for one year following installation.
Media day coverage of the grand opening of the new field is scheduled for 12 PM on December 3rd. On December 3rd the kids will have their field replaced, even better than before, and can return to their “field of dreams”!
