Napa’s Kennedy Park may be the latest public area featuring synthetic turf.
The proposed upgrades include a performance stage, a promenade, and extensive lawn with as many as three sports fields available for events.
Napa also would expand the park’s main athletic area, completing two yet-unbuilt softball diamonds and creating a football and soccer field with synthetic turf and bleachers. Upgrading the sports zone could attract more tournaments and thus increase revenue, Callander designers wrote.
This overhaul would transform the park into a state-of-the art venue, available for concerts, festivals, and sporting events. The proposal includes plans for one football field, one soccer field, and two softball fields.
