The increasing temperature of the planet is very real.
If you’re skeptical, check out the time-lapse video from NASA– it reveals the increase since 1880. If that’s not enough to convince you, consider Bolivia’s second largest lake, which has dried out. National Geographic published a great article about this, including insight from scientists who aren’t sure if the lake will ever recover.
Some scientists have suggested that recovery may not be possible, although Borre thinks the basin is likely to fill again once rains return. Still, there are important lessons to be learned.
