For the second year in a row, the natural grass over at Levi’s Stadium is falling apart.
It’s a good example why synthetic turf is better for sports play, because on top of being more durable it really is an expense that can be avoided. In addition to replacement, the team isn’t able to play on the field that often. And that’s on top of how much water natural grass needs to stay healthy.
Overall, synthetic turf is more durable than natural grass.
For the second year in a row, the sod at Levi’s Stadium is falling apart and for the second year in a row, the team is being forced to move a practice that was previously scheduled to be held at the stadium.
We feel bad for the 20,000 fans who weren’t able to watch the live practice game due to the poor condition of the grass.
